Summary: The Supported Employment Assistant is an unpaid volunteering opportunity that provides technical and clerical support to the Individual Supported Employment Group.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the volunteer is regularly required to talk or hear. The volunteer is frequently required to sit. The volunteer is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, list and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close range, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Must be capable of physically performing tasks required of participant in order to model and demonstrate desired behaviors.
Work Hours and Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the volunteer is occasionally exposed to various weather conditions due to travel*, extreme cold and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, occasionally loud. The Volunteer is also required to observe office protocol, dress codes, must show professional demeanor and tact in dealing with people. Work hours to be arranged with supervisor. Volunteer must commit to work at least 3 to 4 hours per week with 2 to 3 months duration.
