The Sales Manager – North America is responsible for managing the sales team and delivering the sales budget in the North America region. The Sales Manager will lead our sales team to execute our corporate strategy. He or she will be leading our commercial activities, assigning sales territories, analyzing data, setting sales goals, and establishing training for the sales team.
Work directly with regional manager to prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures
Project sales and determine the profitability of products and services
Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts
Analyze sales statistics
Advise sales representatives on ways to improve their sales performance
Work directly with Regional Manager to determine discount rates or special pricing plans
Plan and coordinate training programs for sales staff
Work directly with Regional Manager to recruit, hire, and train new members of the sales staff
Stay in contact with dealers and distributors.
Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
Work collaborately with Marketing manager and staff to help expand MHCs client base.
Work closely with managers and supervisors from other departments including marketing, research, and warehousing.
Monitor and maintain the company's reputation and uphold the company's values and culture.
The applicant must be highly motivated and a team player with an excellent attitude.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to lead and coach a sales team to grow sales and profitability
Minimum of 10 years progressive sales and/or sales management experience
3 years Sales Management experience preferred
Required travel: up to 50%
Strong analytical skills and understanding of sales and revenue metrics
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
Act as a change agent and have the ability to make management decisions in response to changing conditions
Ability to work effectively as a team and establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
