We are currently searching for an experienced Data Center Operations Engineer preferably located in the Denver
area to work in our Englewood office.
The ideal candidate will bring their data center operations and network
operations knowledge to support data center activities for our HCS and Hosted
Customers. This is an excellent ground
floor career opportunity for bright, self-starters with basic network and data
center experience who would like to learn SAN, networking and Cisco Voice
technology solutions!
Role Responsibilities:
·
Work with network, storage, and virtualization team to
support the foundation for a Cisco based hosted voice cloud solution.
·
Work closely with Professional Services and Corporate
IT teams to ensure Corporate Data Center teams remain aware of related Professional
Services projects and other related activities.
·
Assist sales teams with gathering pricing and
information related to Data Center initiatives.
·
Perform hardware installation and cabling following
strict Corporate standards
·
Assist with shipping and receiving activities related
to Cloud and Hosted deployments.
·
Perform support, and administration of data center infrastructure
for Cisco’s Unified Computing Systems (UCS), B and C Series in a Nexus switch
and Cisco MDS Multilayer Fabric Switch environment.
·
Cross-train and work with a Senior Network
Administrator and SAN administrator
·
Learn Cisco’s VoIP products and solutions
·
Work with a team providing issue resolution for both
internal and external clients
Requirements:
·
1- 2 years Data Center related experience supporting
Server and Networking infrastructure.
·
Experience with VMWare, Windows Server, SQL Server,
and RedHat Linux Enterprise software.
·
Some experience and knowledge of migrating server
based technologies from physical to virtual.
·
General knowledge and experience with Cisco networking
and Virtualization infrastructure
·
Strong verbal and written communication skills
·
BS in CS
required
·
CCNA, preferred
·
Must be US Citizen
·
Ability to travel up to 15%
