Job Description


The Training Manager is responsible for creating, implementing and overseeing training programs for customers and employees which meet the North American Automotive Aftermarket’s (NAAM) strategic goals.  The Training Manager is responsible for providing subject matter expertise and instructional support in the design, implementation and delivery of NAAM’s instructor-led, on-line and blended learning programs.  This role will be responsible for developing, measuring and evaluating program effectiveness.

Primary Areas of Responsibilities:


Emission Control Diagnostic Workshop and Ride Drive Program Management

  • Manage and evaluate both programs including marketing strategies, budgetary requirements, and assisting with daily logistical plans
  • Conduct regular quality improvement evaluations and drive enhancements to meet Sales and customer expectations
  • Construct and enhance training presentations and materials


eLearning Program Management

  • Assist in the development, execution and management of the program acting as a subject matter expert and providing ongoing curricular guidance
  • Evaluate and enhance existing courses based on customer and management feedback
  • Develop and provide regular quality reports to measure effectiveness of programs


NAAM Employee Training Initiatives

  • Assist with continuous enhancement of the Field Installer Specialist (FIS) onboarding program including: selection and development of mentors; creation of training content and timetables; serve as backup for corporate mentor reviews
  • Assist with planning and content creation for NAAM new employee training
  • Manage annual enhancements to the 4MORE clinic presentation
  • Assist in the training of Sales employees on new sales force automation tools
  • Work with Product Management to produce tools/training for delivery on mobile devices
  • Assist with other training projects as required


Required Skills


  • Knowledge of training methodology, including needs assessment and instructional design
  • Expertise in Sales policies and the selling process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and vendor management skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Up to 50% travel required

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education or related field required
  • Experience in the Automotive Aftermarket is highly desirable
  • 5+ years relevant work experience is required
