Plans, designs, and supports manufacturing processes in industrial plant. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.  Leads the project management of new equipment including evaluation, design specification, selection, justification, acquisition, installation, and qualification. Participates in Simultaneous Engineering to assure manufacturability and cost effectiveness. May lead Process FMEA’s and participate in Design FMEA’s with cross-functional groups including Quality, Product Engineering, Logistics, and Suppliers.

• Extensive experience in tool and manufacturing process development with knowledge of CAD or FEA and functional expertise in application of GDT.
• Process/application knowledge of processes currently utilized in manufacturing is required. (i.e. welding, stamping, tubing, assembly).
• Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.
• Ability to lead and function in a team environment, while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization.
• Ability to travel in support of job function (plants, customers, suppliers etc.) ; some overseas travel may be required.
• Must be able to improve Rod capacity, overhaul equipment with super fast payback items, and reduce set up time.
• Person must be able to teach Rod and Screw Machine Concepts
• Person must be able to participate communicate in Daily/Weekly rod calls which consumes tremendous amounts of staff time

 Bachelor's degree in engineering. Minimum 5-7 years autmotive manufacturing engineering experience.
