This position ensures business transactions are recorded accurately, timely, within policies and procedures, and in accordance with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepares analysis, recording and reporting of property and deferred charge asset transactions for financial records.
* Prepares and reports invoices, authorizations for expenditure (AFE) and other required documents to determine fixed asset and deferred charge data for assets placed in service.
* Prepares or reviews SAP asset creation retirement, and transfer transactions.
* Prepares financial reports and reconciliations to general ledger data. Determines AFE compliance with corporate capitalization policy and best AFE structure to use to capture necessary costs accurately.
* Recommends and implements process improvements and quality control standards. Determines projects to be included and process monthly automated capitalized company labor and capitalized interest for relevant AFEs.
* May act as project team lead and collaborate with other departments leads to ensure policy and procedure compliance.
Education & Experience:
* Minimum undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field required.
* Minimum 3 years fixed asset accounting, including determination of capital versus operational expenditure, financial asset lives, and asset classes.
