Regular Position Summary PURPOSE:
To summarize the financial position of Texas Children's by recording and analyzing transactions affecting accounts in the general ledger and preparing relevant reports for management.

Knowledge
Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is a knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a general understanding of the operation of financial information systems (general ledger, timekeeping, payroll, accounts payable, assets, etc.).

Skills
Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is the ability to prioritize, organize, problem-solve, and manage time effectively. Personal computer skills such as word processing and spreadsheets are required. Incumbent must have the ability to keep sensitive and confidential information private.

Formal Education and Experience
The formal education and experience required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is:
a Bachelor's degree focusing on Accounting and General Business
3 years of related experience

The following is preferred:
Progress towards CPA certification
