Regular Position Summary Knowledge
Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is a knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing and generally accepted Information Systems audit standards and guidelines, management information systems terminology, concepts and practices, and preferred business practices. Knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, COBIT, and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Skills

- assess the effectiveness of controls over key Information Technology areas, using a risk-based approach
- identify significant IT exposures
- collect and analyze complex data, evaluate information and systems, and draw logical conclusions.
- plan and manage projects as well as multiple priorities.
- negotiate issues and resolve problems.
- utilize word processing, spreadsheet and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries and analyses.
- effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and by using active listening skills.
- conduct reviews of peer¿s audit workpapers.

Formal Education and Experience
The formal education normally associated with completely satisfactory performance in this job is a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Business related field with preferred minor in Information Systems. Requires minimum of five years of progressive experience in an audit and consulting environment, including specific experience in performing information systems audits and consulting assignments in a lead role. Experience in auditing within the healthcare industry is preferred. A combination of education and experience, including information systems operational experience, may be considered as substitutions for the minimum auditing experience requirements. Certification such as CISA is preferred. Experience in auditing within the healthcare industry is preferred.
