Salary Grade: 10 Position Summary Overview:
Patrol, guard and protect the assets, staff, patients and visitors of Texas Children's, functioning as an off-duty HPD officer or supervisor.

Responsibilities:
Conduct foot patrols of buildings and grounds, enforcing applicable local, city, state and federal laws; stand guard post in the ER in order to protect the assets, staff, patients and visitors of TCH; immediately escort persons from the property that have been given trespass warnings by TCH personnel. Create security reports and file law enforcement reports with the jurisdictional agency when required. Provide security escorts for staff and money transfers.

Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of security functions required. The ability to utilize a personal computer (to enter reports), function calmly in stressful, emergency situations and be courteous to others.

Education and experience equate to those duties associated with a police officer of any rank.
