Description
The Bridging Nations Foundation is a nonprofit, policy organization based in Washington D.C. that promotes shared prosperity by focusing on bridging people and nations through technological innovation. Established in 2002, the foundation seeks to develop international dialogue through collaboration. We believe that technological innovation, particularly in green energy, will promote economic cooperation and secure the planet for future generations. Currently we are focused on the India-China Center, a foreign policy initiative that looks to improve business and economic relations between two of the largest countries in the world. Our second organization, the College of Energy, Environment & Sustainability, provides online course on green energy for students and working professionals.

Located just several blocks away from the White House, the Bridging Nations interns have the opportunity to develop skills in social media and marketing while also networking with all the people and organizations in the nation's capital.

Position Summary:

The Event Planning Interns will help develop and organize events that promote the mission of the Bridging Nations Foundation and its two initiatives, the India-China Center and the College of Energy, Environment & Sustainability. This includes fundraising, networking and seminar events that take advantage of the many government and NGO groups in the nation's capital. The organization is currently planning an conference on the future of education and a business delegation to India and China. Daily office tasks include administrative tasks, writing posts for social media, and planning and organizing the conference and delegation. Event Planning Interns can work in increments of three, six or nine months.
