Position Summary: This intern will assist in the planning and preparation of hands-on exploration activities for pre-school and kindergarten learners in the Franklin Institutes summer Discovery Camp. Duties will include: working with Museum Programs staff to develop age-appropriate topics within the themes of each one- or two-week camp session; researching games, activities and projects relating to those topics; and preparing necessary materials. Education Requirements: Interest and/or experience in early childhood education; interest or background in science or museum education preferred. Special Skills Required: Experience working with young children preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and internet search engines required; also the ability to work independently and efficiently.
