Department: Marketing

Position Summary:
Assist with various aspects of the Membership and Group Sales strategy, communication initiatives and database integrity, including:
Learn and advocate the products and programs offered and marketed by The Franklin Institute to audiences classified as affinity families and groups.
Assist in the deployment of written communications, including direct mail campaigns and email blasts.
Report on progress of specific campaigns and prepare performance analytics.
Uphold database integrity through data/record maintenance.
Research new markets and specific targets for new clients.
Proofread and, at times, draft letters, brochures, postcards and other collateral pieces.
Prepare outbound sales representatives campaigns.
Assist in event planning and execution.
Place inquiry calls to potential clients and report status to Director of Membership and Group Sales and Membership and Group Sales Manager.
Provide administrative assistance and clerical services as needed.
Review web pages and recommend appropriate updates.
Opportunity to accompany department staff at sales and industry best-practice meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements: Interested candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university with a preferred focus area in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or other related topic.

Special Skills Required:
Interested candidates must possess:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience or interest in sales.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
Possess excellent analytical skills.
Desire to learn about the practical applications in the marketing of non-profit, museum, and cultural attraction business.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven self-starter and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to stand for several hours at a time for department-related events.
Occasional light lifting

Schedule Requirements: Minimum of 2-3 full workdays per week, including weekend availability as requested.
