Description:
Our client is currently seeking a BUSINESS ANALYST to serve as a Subject Matter Expert and leverage industry knowledge and experience to define and guide the business rules and requirements to build a Students Accounts/AR System.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

* Define key business concepts for systems analysts and the development team
* Elicit and document requirements using document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
* Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
* Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements
* Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements in the Student Accounts and Business Office industry.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, developers and other subject matter experts.
* Serves as conduit between the business office community, customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
* Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
* Collaborate with developers and other subject matter experts to establish the product vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

Actively participate in the QA process by designing and executing test scripts and test scenarios as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:

* Work experience with an accounts receivable system in either an analyst position or management and oversight over performance and enhancements of system
* Experience in managing, enhancing, developing or implementing a student accounts system
* Experience with the systems development lifecycle
* Background working with complex business systems and integration projects.
* In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong work ethic, a definite team player attitude; with a deep commitment to customer satisfaction.
* Be results-oriented and have a record of success in meeting deadlines.
