Description:
Factory HR Manager performs a wide variety of duties to manage, coordinate and implement the organizations Human Resources key objectives, policies, practices (employee relations, recruiting, payroll, training & development benefits, compensation and workers compensation, etc.) and measures at strategic and tactical levels by developing & driving site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in HR performance in line with the Continuous Excellence. The position has responsibility to assist facility management in issues of strategic planning and direction, especially as it pertains to the overall employment climate of the facility while action as a liaison with Corporate and Division Human Resources.
Monitor employee relations climate and local labor activity while insuring positive relations are maintained and that issues are addressed at the lowest levels in the facility.
Provide strategic planning leadership and assistance to facility management team especially regarding matters involving employee compliance, recognition, site strategic operational master plan, leadership development, resources planning in developing long range plans.
Communicate with managers and employees on opportunities, complaints and concerns and provide communications to managers and employees about programs, policies and procedures.
Conduct issues and employee related investigations related to: harassment complaints, hostile work environment issue, Business Conduct Line incidents.
Lead Education & Training Pillar and deliver phase step improvements through development of core pillar systems such as: skills matrices, capability building, line mapping, work group projects, etc.

Manage Corrective Action program, and provide response to Business
Conduct Line calls while insuring policies and procedures are followed in all interactions.
Insure that programs are in compliance with policy and regulatory requirements. aInsure that staffing levels are periodically reviewed and in compliance with budgeted levels.
Manage partnership relationships with Temporary agencies and recruiters.
Manage recruiting of all site positions while meeting expected KPIas.
Direct compensation activities for hourly employees include establishment of wage scales, assessment of market rates, and surveys of local hourly wage rates.
Supervise hourly payroll process to an expected audit readiness level.
Oversee Kronos systems usage and compliance.
Manage local benefits activities such as employee meals, gifts, service awards, events, celebrations and recognition.
Supervise training activities for facility including development of job qualifications, team training matrixes, and certifications and training time tracking and training expense. Manage training related direct reports in order to support site employee technical job qualification skills improvements.
Supervise development and execution of annual plant training plans in order to maintain all site compliance training is executed and tracked for all employees within a 90 day period.
Supervise local Management Trainee and Intern programs.
Develop and conduct annual training to management team on
Employment Law, Employee Relations, and Harassment Avoidance, etc.
Support all facility safety activities including employee education efforts, safety awareness activities, and near miss and incident investigations.Participate in Friends Helping Friends safety observer program as management team member.
Supervise employee Worker's Compensation administration.
Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory compliance.
manage, supervise, and/or execute assignments/projects as directed in order to meet business needs at a high functioning level.
