Responsibilities:

Provide mechanical design/drafting support to Engineering personnel in the design of large ground and space based electro-optical imaging systems.
Education Required:

Minimum Degree Required: AAS in Mechanical Technology

Maximum Degree Required: BS Mechanical Engineering
Experience Required:

Position requiring over 10 years of relevant experience
Skills Required:

Required Skills:

Have Mechanical CAD capability and experience (Pro/E Wildfire CAD)

Create complete mechanical designs and drawings of flight hardware and manufacturing support hardware under the direction of a senior mechanical engineer

Have the ability to interface with process engineers, metrology engineers, shop personnel, and project managers for design and program reviews

Significant experience in design of mechanical/optical assemblies and process fixtures

Supports manufacturing engineering during fabrication and assembly as required to insure quality and effectiveness

Be proficient in geometric tolerancing (ASME Y14.5M-1994)

Be capable of checking your own work and the work of others

Understand and comply with ISO and department procedures

Have computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

GDandT knowledge and experience
Desired Skills:

Have experience in design of large, electro-optical imaging systems

Have experience in fabrication and assembly of hardware
