JOB SUMMARY
The pre-transplant coordinator facilitates and coordinates all aspects of the transplant referral, evaluation, waiting period, and peri-operative phases of transplantation. The coordinator interacts with all members of multi-disciplinary transplant team to ensure coordination of care for the pre-transplant patient.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Registered Nurse, Bachelors degree required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 4 years medical /surgical nursing experience required. ICU experience preferred. Previous transplant experience is an asset. Business/Administrative degree experience may be considered in lieu of total nursing experience if in combination with minimum 2 years nursing experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
Registered nurse with current Texas license
CPR Certification
Transplant Specialty Certification Preferred

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Skilled at managing complex patient caseload and ability to prioritize/triage based on patient status.

Extremely well-organized and detail oriented, self-directed.

Excellent interpersonal skills required to deal with diverse patient population.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
