Internship:
Mobile Pinhole Project

Description of Organization:
The Mobile Pinhole Project engages youth across the city of Los Angeles in hands-on, day-long photography workshops in their own neighborhoods using the VanCam a van turned into a giant pinhole camera. The VanCam encourages youth to literally go inside the mechanism of photography, working together to create a photograph that frames questions of identity, culture, and place. This instructional tool is emblematic of the programs goal - access. The Mobile Pinhole Project focuses on making photography and visual expression geographically, technologically, and conceptually accessible to youth of all backgrounds.

Position Description:
The Mobile Pinhole Project is seeking multiple highly motivated, creative, responsible, and visionary individuals to be a part of an innovative, DIY- style community arts program in Los Angeles. As part of a small, dedicated staff, these supervised positions offer potential for significant responsibility and self-direction, allowing successful applicants to gain invaluable professional experience in arts administration, and community organizing.

Type:
Positions are a summer internship with two required days a week. Schedule is flexible to accommodate your school or work schedule.
