The Town Common Media Group, publishers of The Town Common (North Shores largest independent free weekly community newspaper with a weekly distribution of 12,000+ delivered to 500+ locations weekly, in combination with a weekly e-mail blast to 2,100+ subscribers) is currently seeking an unpaid part-time intern to work in office and/or via telecommuting - for approx. 15-20 hrs/wk for a minimum of 4 mths.
The Town Common interns WILL gain invaluable real-world work experience. This is a tremendous resume-building opportunity and a great introduction to the advertising and publishing fields. Local residency is preferred (N. Shore of Mass/S. NH seacoast area). The intern must be able to provide his/her own transportation; a flexible schedule is a MUST! Some evening/weekend work required. Interns will receive commission (on sales generated) and gas expenses (upon approval). The Town Common will work with interns and their advisors to meet any requirements for academic credit, if requested.
