General Description: Day Program Assistant
Provide assistance, instruction, and supervision to a class of adults with disabilities in VACs Day Program. Work with a team of professionals in developing and administering various curriculum models and activities. Instruct and supervise various activity groups including arts & crafts projects, cooking classes, exercise groups, and outings in the community. Accompany the participants and other staff members on various community outings to local museums, shows, movies, restaurants and other places of interest. Must be able to commit to at least 8 hours per week.
