The Tierra del Sol Human Resources Department is looking for a HR intern to serve at their beautiful 7-acre campus in Sunland, located in the east San Fernando Valley, in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. We are looking for a commitment of at least 3 days per week, 4 hours per day.

This is a unique opportunity to gain insights into how a medium sized non-profit organization functions. You will learn not only about the functions of Human Resources, but also Finance, Safety, Operations and other elements of the foundation, in support of our mission to serve adults with intellectual disabilities (autism, down syndrome, etc.). Your coach and mentor for this experience will be our Human Resources Manager, Kevin Panet, a friendly guy with over 25 years of experience in Human Resources, a BS degree in Business Administration, a MS degree in Human Resources Management, and a SPHR-CA (Senior Professional in Human Resources with California certification) from the Society for Human Resources Management.

To be considered for this position, you should have good computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, excellent organizational skills, and a sincere desire to help our HR department to help our employees to accomplish their mission.
