Dr. Craig Pratt is the Medical Director of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CCU) at The Methodist Hospital. The CCU is an 18-bed unit which treats acute cardiac patients with a wide variety of illnesses including: ACS, advanced heart failure, atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, cardiac arrest and SCD, and post-atrial and ventricular ablation. Methodist has a world renowned heart failure / transplant program and the CCU staff physician will obtain extensive experience in the management of decompensated heart failure, including hemodynamic management and use of various cardiovascular assist devices including IABP, Tandem Hearts, and LVADS. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated colleague who is American Board of Internal Medicine certified / eligible, with State of Texas Medical Licensure and ACLS certification with an interest in Cardiac Critical Care Medicine. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the management of complex cardiac cases and knowledge in the placement and use of right heart catheterization, central venous and arterial line placement, and endotracheal intubation techniques. An interest in participating in medical education is important as residents and fellows rotate thru the unit. Successful applicants will be eligible to apply for a Clinical Instructor teaching appointment with our academic affiliate, Weill Cornell Medical College.
