The Methodist Hospital Psychiatry service is recruiting a fulltime Consultation-Liason Psychiatrist who will work primarily with the MultiOrgan Transplant program at The Methodist Hospital located in the Texas Medical Center, Houston, Texas. The candidate should have completed an Adult Psychiatry residency training program and be Board eligible, preferably Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Fellowship Training in Psychosomatic Medicine and/or Consultation Psychiatry experience is very desirable.

The Fulltime position will be involved with both inpatient and outpatient Psychiatric evaluation of Solid Organ Transplant patients both prior to Transplant and manage patients during their perioperative and post operative course.

The Psychiatrist will work with a Multidisciplinary team of Transplant Physicians and Surgeons, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers and Nurses in both the Inpatient and Outpatient setting. The candidate will be instrumental in improving quality of care and evaluation of transplant patients.
