Position Summary:

    • Manage within a multi-skilled, fast-paced, team oriented flexible manufacturing environment.

    • Supervising Operating Engineers within a rotating shift environment.

    • Manage power plant equipment, including boilers, air compressors, chillers, water and wastewater treatment systems.

    • Manage departmental safety.

    • Participate in and provide On the Job training with and to other maintenance team members.

    • Manage and assist in the trouble shooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.

    • Manage preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures.

    • Manage all regulations related to O. Reg. 219/01

    • Manage and direct contractor work within areas of responsibility

    • Support Capital and Operating budget creation, and manage within budget


First Class Operating Engineer License (Ontario or Interprovincial).

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.

Demonstrated problem solving and decision making ability.

Demonstrated ability to manage safety within a multi-skilled, fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to meet waste, water, energy, productivity, quality, and cost targets.

Able to maintain and improve department standards.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and complete daily activities.
