Description
Installer II Employees responsible for the execution of the installation project plan including equipment delivery and interface with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customer's expectations. 3S - Senior Applies experience and/or skills acquired through formal training to procedures, policies and understanding of team objectives. Anticipates problems and recognizes when to deviate from standard practices. Selects appropriate procedures to resolve problems which may involve uncommon variations. Emphasis may be on manual skills. Preferred Education: High School Minimum Experience: 3-5 years
Qualifications

* High School or equivalent. * Minimum of three years field experience in low voltage installation or electrical installation. * Requires knowledge of OSHA and HAZCOM regulations and comprehension of National Electric Code, State and local construction codes. * Must retain NICET Level II Certification. * Follow verbal and written instructions, read and interpret moderately complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities. * Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to forty pounds. Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders; scaffolding and high lift equipment up to forty feet, working in ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to assist with the installation of boxes, wiring, panels, and devices as directed by the field installers. * Maintain a clean and safe work area. Pick up and properly dispose of all trash associated with SimplexGrinnell work. Wear appropriate safety equipment as required including hats and shoes. Properly secure all SimplexGrinnell tools and equipment at the end of each work period so as to prevent damage or loss. * Coordinate the installation activities with other trades at the work location to optimize installation time. Complete and submit time reports and other documents as required. May be required to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer installation requirements. * Bring to the immediate attention of the supervisor all changes, discrepancies and coordination problems that impair installation activities or schedule. * Review project drawings and obtain all facts necessary to perform installation activities according to specifications. Review and become knowledgeable of the project schedule in order to meet required timetables. Attend all required site meetings involved with installation activities. * Perform other duties as directed.
