Description
Congressman Allen B. West is looking for full/part time unpaid Fall interns for his Washington D.C. office. Applicants should possess conservative values, be personable, and have strong writing skills. Duties include (but are not limited to) performing administrative tasks, attending Congressional hearings, leading Capitol tours, answering phones, sorting mail, and helping legislative staff with research. Start and end dates are negotiable. Although the internships are unpaid, they are great experience for anyone looking to get involved in politics and/or policy making, especially on Capitol Hill. We also work with current students looking to receive college credit for their internship. Interested applicants should send resume and brief cover letter summarizing their interest in working for Congressman West to Ari.Zimmerman@mail.house.gov with Fall 2011 Internship as the subject.
