CAD Drafter Internship

The CAD Drafter Intern provides direct support to VP of Operations by creating, modifying or revising drawings and documentation associated with large scale engineered products for the steel industry. This individual is responsible for making changes to or creating new 3D models, drawings and technical specifications. In addition, the drafter assists in managing the changes to engineering records to insure the integrity of product lines.

Learning Opportunities:

The CAD Drafter Intern will have the opportunity to work on-site at our three building campus housing all of our manufacturing and warehousing on 6 acres, located in North Ridgeville, Ohio.

This individual will learn and have exposure to the following:

Create, modify and revise complex drawings, documents, schematics and/or mechanical drawings to support project managers and manufacturing needs.
Complete change requests to drawings during the life of a project.
Develop project approval documentation for the project based on input from the Chief Engineer;Review, correct and return project documentation.
Assist with the preparation, development, gathering and compiling of final documentation in addition to quotes for cost of goods to deliver to the customer.
Create and modify all affected areas on Bills of Material (BOM).
