Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking an energetic, passionate, and full-time Senior Market Analyst. This individual will be responsible for conducting sales and financial analysis of video games performance, providing analytical support to forecast demand for Ubisoft products, completing ad hoc research projects for senior management, and championing national business plans to the cross-functional customer organization.  The position is based in San Francisco, CA and will report directly to the Manager, Market Analysis.

Responsibilities:

Forecasting/Ad Analysis

Forecast all Ubisoft new release titles.  Incorporate items such as reserves, online buzz, and marketing spend and strive to continually improve forecast accuracy.

Track daily sales for Ubisoft's blockbuster titles, analyzing individual retailers and forecasting weekly demand using comparative titles.  Quickly assess sales potential and provide guidance on financial impact.

Maintain database that tracks Ubisoft's ad spending.  Work closely with sales team to ensure that inputs are timely and correct.  Create report that summarizes spending.

o    Also maintain market-wide ads database.  Compile monthly report that summarizes data and relate trends to Ubisoft.

Perform ROI analysis on Ubisoft's key advertisements, working with sales analysis team to understand what may have impacted success of programs.

Be able to confidently present analysis in front of senior management and be flexible in adapting to unexpected questions.

Market Analysis

Work on ad hoc market-level projects on gaming industry trends such as pricing and console hardware base.

Perform analysis on Ubisoft pre-orders.  Compile weekly report and analyze how pre-orders track against comparable titles.  Develop model to correlate pre-orders with sales.

Act as company expert on industry sales data.  Create monthly report that summarizes industry-wide sales data.  Provide analysis and communicate findings to senior management.

o    Project monthly industry-wide sales at title level.  Identify emerging trends and Ubisoft's position relative to the rest of the industry.

Sales Support

Partner closely with Sales and Retail Planning teams to support sales objectives.

Provide ad hoc market intelligence reporting and analysis as needed.

Identify gaps and opportunities in sales support and deliver results.

Effortlessly move between objective analyst role and sales support role.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required. MBA a plus.

5+ years in financial or sales analysis required.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Knowledge of video game industry required.

Familiarity with Access and databases a plus.

Must have strong organizational, writing, and verbal skills.

Ability to work in high-pressure, time-constrained situations.
