This internship opportunity is for the student already committed to the profession of Geographic Information Systems and application to the commercial real estate industry. Commercial real estate, specifically retail, is very reliant on GIS data for site selection, targeting customers for marketing, and determining geographic areas under or over served by retailers and restaurants. We are looking to utilize GIS, along with our existing knowledge of the importance of demographics, to create a systematic approach to identifying ideal locations for retailers, restaurants, and developers to expand or build.

For consideration for the unpaid internship, the applicant must have a strong understanding of GIS, the software used (Arcview, Pitney Bowes Business Insight, etc), and how to utilize the software to assist in providing support data for our clients to make solid business decisions.

We are willing to provide the structure and support for the intern to achieve the most from the on-the-job learning experience and will provide solid recommendations and references to successful/committed participants in the program.
