This position is located in Cheyenne Wyoming.

Summary : Assist physicians and nurses with clinic preparations and patient documentation. Inventory and order medical supplies. Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained per departmental protocol. Obtain pre-authorizations as required.

Requirements : 1 of the following 3 credentials is required: 1. Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution or program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES); or 2. Completion of a formal medical training program (i.e. CNA, EMT, or LPN); or 3. Associate's degree in medical, health, or science-related field and minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience. Medical terminology required. Satisfactory completion of WorkSteps evaluation prior to hire. DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES: Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical information. Computer knowledge with minimum 35 wpm typing speed preferred. Ability to multi-task. Willingness to adapt to ongoing changes in a patient care environment. Excellent customer service skills to identify patient/employer needs and facilitating action to meet those needs. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Relevant life support training as determined by assigned department. May include BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC or other certification as required by the department.
