QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years of age.

Must satisfy the requirements for and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Must satisfy the requirements for a DOT equivalent physical examination to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate, as well as submit to periodic drug screenings, as defined by applicable federal, state, and VH policies regulations.

High school graduate or equivalent required.

Advanced or Basic First Aid training preferred or company will provide.

BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) preferred or company will provide.

EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operators Certificate) or equivalent preferred within one year of hire, or company will provide.

Experience in the use of handicap aids and wheelchair lift equipment as well as the care and handling of the aged and/or the handicapped client is preferred.

Must maintain a driving record that is acceptable with the company’s insurance carrier.

Serves as the primary vehicle operator.
