This position will support the tasking for the F/A-18 Program Office’s Weapon System Integration, FMS NATIP/ATIP Coordinator at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) in Patuxent River, MD. The selected candidate will research, analyze and track all changes to NATIP/ATIP; draft and coordinate necessary weapons system changes; and participate and/or facilitate program meetings to include Program Management Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, Flight Certification Reviews and Integrated Program Team Meetings. Candidate will be required to edit complex manuscripts by reviewing content for completeness, accuracy, and correctness of language use, while revising manuscripts to meet predetermined standards of accuracy.
Education: Bachelor's degree is required or a High School diploma with four (4) years of experience in NATIP/ATIP can be substituted in lieu of the degree.
Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: An aviation background is a must. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Selected candidate must have knowledge of NATIP/ATIP for the F/A-18 Aircraft. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Knowledge and experience with eXtensible Markup Language (XML) is required. Knowledge of the Flight Clearance Processes is also a plus.
