This position is located in Point Mugu, CA and supports tasking for NAVAIR as a project pilot. The work is primarily conducted in and around the Los Angeles area. The successful candidate will provide acquisition support, flight test support, flight instruction, and conduct post maintenance check flights. The candidate may support other related collateral tasks such as operations planning, scheduling, and flight hour reporting. Up to 25% travel is required.

Education: A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of six (6) years of aviation experience is required. A Master’s Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline with a minimum of four (4) years of aviation experience is desired. Military Aviation Flight Training is required.

Experience: A minimum of 1000 hours in S-3 (series) aircraft is required. FAA Commercial or ATP rating is required. Developmental and operational systems test experience with the S-3 aircraft family is desired. Recent experience with RDTE and/or acquisition for advanced military electronics/computer systems is desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ability to pass the physical and qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support is required. The ability to work with integrated test teams that are comprised of military, civilian, and contractor personnel is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
