This position supports research and development projects on-site at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The successful candidate will perform a variety of software development activities. The focus for this position will be the design, development, testing, and documentation of C++/C# and FORTRAN based applications. The work involves the development, demonstration, and integration of modeling and simulation applications. The successful candidate will apply engineering practices and software development processes and tools to ensure that quality standards for development and configuration management are applied to RD software development efforts.

Education:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required.

Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Two (2) years of related work experience including on-the-job experience in C++ and C# is required. Experience developing applications and tools utilizing C++ and/or C# is required. Experience with FORTRAN is desired. Experience with developing graphical user interfaces and knowledge of the latest advances in software development tools is a plus.
